Other Requests for Information
In addition, where South Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership receive a request for information that is not dealt with under its ‘business as usual’ processes, your right to access information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 will automatically be exercised. Your request will be passed to the South Yorkshire Police Information Compliance Unit to be dealt with as a Freedom of Information request.
If you have recently received a Notice of Intended Prosecution/Section 172 Notice from South Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership, you are required by law to respond to this within 28 days. DO NOT delay responding to this due to awaiting a response to a Freedom of Information request, as this may result in a more severe punishment through prosecution for failing to supply information which carries a maximum fine of £1000 together with 6 penalty points.
