Taxi driver sent to prison for three months.

Yesterday, Arif Zahid of Rotherham received 3 months imprisonment for using a made up name and an address in Bradford for a speeding offence.

Arif, a taxi driver licenced with Barnsley Council nominated a fictitious person at an address in Bradford. 

After making enquiries with Barnsley Taxi Licencing, it was found that Zahid was working at the time of the offence.  When questioned, Zahid made a full and frank admission that the person was made up and had never visited the address in Bradford.

Sentencing at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday 10th August 2016, Arif received 3 months imprisonment.

Yet another successful result for Operation Obstruct!
