Following a speeding offence committed on 17^th October 2009, Mr Love committed a further offence by nominating another person as driving the speeding vehicle when it had actually been himself in the driving seat. Mr Love later admitted that he was the driver of the vehicle and that he had provided false details in order to avoid receiving points on his driving license.

Following the court hearing, Love was sentenced to a three month prison sentence. He was also fined £350 and his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points.
